LFP presents Battle of the The Rock Bands


	Friday, November 7th, The Year of LFP, 2008, 6 PM

	16 four-piece bands will rock the LFP gallery, competing head-to-head in a single-song elimination tournament. For each song, two band mates must play on medium and two must play on easy. There will be no exceptions to this rule. The competing teams will play the same song (team going second will not be allowed to watch the first team), and the team that finishes the song with the most points continues to the next round. In the event that both bands are booed off stage, a new song will be assigned for the bands to be played. If the teams are both booed off a second time, both bands are eliminated and the would-be next round opponent will recieve a bye. First Round - Eight easy songs are dropped in a hat. Before teach head-to-head, one of these songs will be drawn, and both teams will play it. The played song will not be returned to the hat for the next matchup. Second Round - Four moderately difficult songs are dropped in a hat. Before each head-to-head, one of these songs will be drawn, and both teams will play it. The played song will not be returned to the hat for the next matchup. Third Round - Two difficult songs are dropped in a hat. Before each head-to-head, one of these songs will be drawn, and both teams will play it. The played song will not be returned to the hat for the next matchup. Final Round - The final two bands will each be allowed to pick one song. Both bands will play the two songs, and the combined scores from the songs will determine the winner. The entry fee is $20 per band. Bring cash to pay your entry fee.


	The winning band will take home $200 in cash. Divey it up as you see fit. You are strongly encouraged to wear your best rocker gear, and one band will be selected as best dressed. Each member of the best dressed band will recieve their choice of available LFP limited edition t-shirts (certain size are especially limited).


	Free beer, wine, and mixed drinks will be provided while supplies last. No food will be available, and you are strongly encouraged to eat a heavy meal before arriving if you intended to party like a rock star.

Sign up your band. Four band members are required. Bands must be approved by LFP before they appear on this site. If you're band isn't listed on the right by showtime, you aren't in the competition. Don't want to be in a band but don't want to miss the action? Sign up as a groupie!
